An Indian creates World’s 1st Digital Teacher- ‘WILL’

The World’s First Digital Teacher Just Debuted in New Zealand

In New Zealand classrooms, World’s 1st Digital Teacher replaces the human teacher. ‘Will’ is a digital human who can interact with students through a desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Vector and Soul Machines are two New Zealand based companies which collaborated together to launch ‘Will’.

World's First Digital TeacherA recent report by Soul Machines states schools in Auckland are losing teachers because it is too expensive for them as a city to live in. The Chief Digital Officer of Vector, Nikhil Ravishankar states, “Using a digital human is a very compelling method to deliver new information to people, and I have a lot of hope in this technology as a means to deliver cost-effective, rich, educational experiences into the future.”

Will is a part of ‘Be Sustainable with Energy’ programme which is free-of-charge to schools within Auckland electricity network of Vector.
