Odisha’s 9th Class Student all set to rule NASA as a Scientist!

Sumit Sahoo of Baripada town in Odisha has been selected for an opportunity to work with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as the data scientist.

A Class 9th student of Sathya Sai Vidya Mandir, Sumit, first secured 2nd position in State level Competition organized by NASA in July. It was an online examination to select Junior Data Scientist. On 12th August, he won the All India Level Examination conducted in Bhubaneswar.

Later, on 31st August the International Level Examination was held in New Delhi where he secured 2nd position. Bagging the Student Scholarship Award, he will receive a regular funding of Rs 10000/- each month for the next 28 years!

Just 14, Sahoo will receive free education in the US after completing matriculation examination with more than 61 percent. Moreover, an offer to work as the Chief Data Scientist at the NASA is already waiting for the Young genius which he will be able to take up after completing his studies.
