Students create Eco-Friendly Ganesha | Nagarjuna Model School

by admin

On the eve of Vinayaka Chaturthi festival, the students of Nagarjuna Model School prepared Ganesha idols with clay with an intent to preserve environment. Ganesha idols which are made with Plaster of Paris and use of artificial colours tend to cause harm to environment resulting in water pollution. As it is the responsibility of everyone to protect environment, the school management has conducted this programme.

Later, students took the idols they have prepared to their houses. “The aim of the programme was to immerse idols at home itself in plant pots to protect environment”, teachers said.

Chairman of Nagarjuna Group of Schools, M Shivashankar Reddy and Director Sridevi congratulated students and the event organizer Phaneendra.
