Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM)


Vidyarthi  Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is a national science talent search program for New India organized by Vijnana Bharati (Not for profit organization), in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar-an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and NCERT- Ministry of Human Resource Development. VVM is a National program for educating and popularizing science among school students of VI to XI standards. VVM aims to identify and nurture the bright minds among the student community, who are keen on subjects related to science.

This exam conducted in three phases.  The first phase is an online exam conducted in the school itself.  The registered students will take the exam using his/her own device namely a laptop, tablet or smartphone.  The school level examination will be conducted on 25 November or on 28 November 2018 (option to choose) between 11 AM and 1 PM (2 hours).  The syllabus is 50% for Science and Mathematics from class textbooks (NCERT), 20% from Indian Contributions to Science (Study material can be downloaded from, 20% Life stories of Dr. Meghnad Saha and Srinivasa Ramanujan (Study material can be downloaded from and 10% from Logic & Reasoning.  The medium of the exam is in English and Telugu. In the second phase (State level camp) top 20 rankers per class per state will be identified to participate in two days State Level Camp. Eminent scholars and scientists from different fields will guide the students. A hand’s on the practical examination will be conducted to select top 2 students from each class to participate in the national camp. Toppers will get certificates and cash awards.

In the third phase (National camp) which is 2 day pamp, comprise Presentations, Scientific Understanding, innovation, and creativity, out of Box activities and assessment of Leadership Qualities. Toppers will get certificates and cash awards.
