With 120 students at risk, a private kindergarten school has opened admissions without the approval of the school education department. The school has been functioning from a rented building at Mela Kalkandar Kottai since almost 10 years without the basic of approval from the concerned department.
Further in his statements, the district executive member revealed to TOI, “Last year, a block development officer was instructed to inquire and order closure if the school doesn’t possess the necessary approval. The officer was suspended for failing to initiate action against the school.”
Chief Educational Officer, M Ramakrishnan, confirmed, “This school is not supposed to admit students defying norms as it is yet to get relevant approval from the school education department.”
