As #Indiafightscorona trends on twitter, people have started contributing resources to the government. In a letter to Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, 1000 private schools have offered their entire resources. The government can make use of their resources to fight the Covid-19.
Action Committee of Unaided Recognized Private Schools, Delhi takes the initiative
This initiative is taken by the Action Committee of Unaided Recognized Private Schools. This umbrella organization caters the interest of more than 1000 private schools in Delhi. An official letter was sent to the Chief Minister. “All private schools, under the Action Committee have voluntarily decided to help government with all possible ways to deal with the situation. All our best possible available resources are hereby offered to government to make use of in whatever way they see viable,” wrote SK Bhattacharya, President and Bharat Arora, General Secretary, Action Committee of Unaided Recognized Private Schools.
Collection to donate for Relief Fund
The officials also confirmed in the letter that the Action committee is already in the process of collection of donation from its member schools under the Chief Ministers Relief Fund.
Members of the committee are ensuring cooperation during lockdown from private schools. “The committee has been continuously appealing the people to cooperate with the government with utmost seriousness in the Locked Down situation when country needs everyone’s support to overcome the challenge.”
