12 students with visual impairments pass the West Bengal Class 12 board exam

On May 8th, the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) announced the West Bengal Class 12 Result 2024. Among the students who participated in the Class 12 board exam were 12 students with visual impairments from Light House for the Blind in Kolkata. All 12 students achieved a first division, with five students earning an A+ grade and the remainder receiving an A grade. Rashida Khatun achieved the highest position by scoring 416 marks out of 500.

The 12 visually impaired students who passed the West Bengal HS examination 2024 include Rashida Khatun, Sharifun Esha Khatun, Sheikh Rafiqul, Akash Kaputra, Rahul Bauri, Sampa Das, Aleya Khatun, Montu Das, Aparna Mahato, Jayakrishna Sarkar, Srimanta Hansda and Suraj Mandal.

Among all the candidates who took the exam, Abhik Das secured the first position with 496 out of 500 marks. He belongs to McWilliam Higher Secondary School in Alipurduar. Soumyadeep Saha from Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission attained the second rank, scoring 495 out of 500 marks, while Abhishek Gupta from Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Vidyamandir achieved the third rank with 494 out of 500 marks.
