124 PM SHRI SCHOOLS DEDICATED TO HARYANA

124 PM SHRI  schools with ICT labs and Smart Classrooms have been dedicated to Haryana. Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan along with Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar dedicated these schools yesterday at an event in Haryana. Apart from these, the ministers also launched the Accreditation of the Schools app and Mobile Application (NIPUN). Books and Learning Materials for Balvatika-3rd were also be unveiled during the occasion. School Education Minister, Government of Haryana, Kanwar Pal, Senior officials, dignitaries, and eminent academicians also graced the event.

While addressing Mr. Pradhan said that today is a ‘historic day’ towards ensuring a bright future for the children of Haryana through advanced and quality education by bringing NEP to the ground. He said that PM-SHRI Schools will be a symbol of excellence with 21st century modern education based on skill-based, people-life-culture and mother tongue. He expressed his confidence that the launch of PM SHRI School will increase the potential of school education in Haryana and the children of Haryana will benefit for the initiative.

Mr. Pradhan congratulated the State Government for the various initiatives and reforms initiated by the Haryana School Education Department to make the school education in Haryana vibrant. He also highlighted that the New Education Policy (NEP) has played a vital role in formulating the growth of students in every aspect of their curriculum.

Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) is a  scheme launched by the Government of India to upgrade 14,500 existing schools across the country into model schools. The scheme is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and aims to provide high-quality education in an equitable, inclusive, and joyful school environment.

PM SHRI schools will be equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities, including smart classrooms, laboratories, libraries, playgrounds, and more. They will also have a strong focus on teacher training and professional development.

The scheme is expected to benefit over 20 lakh students directly. It will also promote an understanding of various dimensions of the quality of school education and inform policy, practice, and implementation. The learning from these schools will be scaled up to other schools in the country.
