2023 Indian Army Quiz – ‘Battle of Minds’ is launched to celebrate Kargil victory’s 25th year

Indian Army proudly revealed ‘Battle of Minds’ – Indian Army Quiz 2023 with its fascinating logo on 16th August at Manekshaw Centre in Delhi cantonment. In order to commemorate the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas, the quiz commemorates the victory of the Indian Armed Forces in the Kargil War. It renders sincere tribute to the courage and valor of those, who are the real cause of such victory. Such a milestone initiative gets symbolized by new logo and also underscores the commitment of the Army to motivate and encourage young minds and intellectual growth across the country. The program commemorates the past and ignites learning with a curious spirit among youth for producing leaders of the future.

The program has been attended by Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar, Vice Chief of Army Staff. The quiz contest’s logo was revealed by Mrs. Archana Pande, President AWWA. In addition, Param Vir Chakra Awardees Subedar Major (Honorary Captain) Yogendra Singh Yadav (Retired) and Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar were also present with Principals from schools all across India’s 36 states and Union Territories.

This initiative reaches out to around 1.5 lakhs of schools all across the nation with representation from all Indian districts. The objective of the program is to register 15,000 schools, thereby engaging around 1.5 crore students across the country.  All schools can participate with teams of 3 students with a reserve. However, co-educational schools need to have a minimum of one female student in their teams. All participants need to be from 10 to 16 years old that includes students from grades 6 to 10. Quiz content will be held in hybrid mode, which is both offline as well as online mode. Thus, starting at the regional level of command, competition can progress to Inter-Command and therefore, culminate at the national level.

Quiz competition can be developed in 2 stages by ensuring participants’ comprehensive analysis. The first stage can get started with a round of online elimination, where students can demonstrate their ability through managing intellectually stimulating question series. Successful participants from the online round can progress to the second stage, such as offline Command-level regional competition culminating in Grand Finale. Such a process guarantees both demanding as well as equitable assessment of the ability and knowledge of contenders culminating in the discovery of highly deserving winners.

Inclusivity: It is open for all students, where English is primary or secondary instruction mediums.
Equity: It ensures one female attendant from every co-education school to advertise balance.

Attractive Prizes: Rewards for students, teachers and schools with wards exceeding 4 crore, includes buses for top 12 schools along with more than 360 laptops for both teachers and students as offered.
