Twenty-five schools situated in Kangpokpi and Churachandpur districts have had their affiliations with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) revoked due to the absence of essential documents, specifically No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from the Manipur government. CBSE mandates these papers for schools seeking affiliation with the central board. Consequently, these schools are now excluded from the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) School Affiliation Re-Engineered Automation System (SARAS 4.0) ‘affiliated’ list.
In response, the Manipur government has pledged strict actions against individuals found to have violated state education and CBSE regulations. This firm stance serves as a warning, hinting at potential legal consequences for fraudulent practices in the submission of affiliation requests to the central board.
