76th Republic Day Celebrations at Ahlcon International School, Mayur Vihar, Phase-1, Delhi

On January 26th, 2025, our school came alive with the spirit of patriotism and unity as we celebrated India’s 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and pride. This year’s celebrations held extra significance, marking over seven decades of the day the Constitution of India came into effect, officially declaring the country a republic. The day was filled with vibrant cultural performances, inspiring speeches, and heartfelt tributes to the freedom fighters who made this historic day possible, creating an atmosphere of national pride and collective joy.

Ahlcon International School marked India’s 76th Republic Day with grandeur and patriotic fervour, instilling in students a deep sense of pride and commitment to the nation. The entire school community, including the Principal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav, Vice Principal, Mr. Puneet Duggal, Heads of Departments, students, NCC cadets, teachers, staff, and parents, came together to honour this historic occasion. This year’s Republic Day theme, ‘Golden Heritage: Virasat and Vikas,’ paid tribute to India’s rich legacy and its journey toward progress.

The celebration commenced with a grand march past and the flag-hoisting ceremony in the school’s front area. The national flag, adorned in saffron, white, and green, was unfurled by the esteemed Principal, followed by the resonant singing of the national anthem, symbolising unity and unwavering dedication to the nation. Cadet Saumya delivered a stirring patriotic poem that added to the solemnity and spirit of the occasion, further deepening the patriotic fervour of the gathering.

Principal Mr. Sanjay Yadav delivered an inspiring address, emphasising the significance of Republic Day and urging students to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution. Vice Principal Mr. Puneet Duggal reinforced the importance of unity, responsibility, and national integrity, motivating students to be active participants in the nation-building process.

A vibrant cultural program unfolded, reflecting the spirit of India’s diverse heritage. The event featured a multilingual thought for the day, a melodious patriotic song, and engaging discussions on the Panch Pran Principles. Students captivated the audience with a mesmerising dance performance showcasing India’s cultural diversity, followed by a compelling skit on Fundamental Rights and Duties. A thought-provoking PowerPoint presentation traced the historical significance of Republic Day and the Constitution’s role in shaping modern India. Additionally, a short video documenting India’s journey as a Republic and an insightful book review added depth to the occasion.

To encourage artistic expression and patriotism, students enthusiastically participated in creative activities such as flag-making, tip printing, and colouring national symbols. The vibrant celebrations, interwoven with inspiring speeches, thought-provoking performances, and creative endeavours, reinforced students’ appreciation for India’s glorious past and the ideals that define its future.

The Republic Day celebrations at Ahlcon International School were not just an event but a profound journey of learning and patriotism—one that instilled a lasting sense of duty and national pride in every student. As the tricolour soared high, it became a beacon of hope, unity, and resilience, reminding the young generation of their vital role in shaping India’s future with integrity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the nation’s ideals.
