On January 26th, 2025, our school came alive with the spirit of patriotism and unity as we celebrated India’s 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and pride. This year’s celebrations held extra significance, marking over seven decades of the day the Constitution of India came into effect, officially declaring the country a republic. The day was filled with vibrant cultural performances, inspiring speeches, and heartfelt tributes to the freedom fighters who made this historic day possible, creating an atmosphere of national pride and collective joy.
The Republic Day celebrations at Meru International School at its campuses in Miyapur & Tellapur were an unforgettable display of patriotism, national pride, and Indian cultural heritage. On 26th January 2025, students from both CBSE and Cambridge curricula came together to honor the spirit of our great nation and its remarkable journey since becoming a Republic in 1950.
The event began with a soulful patriotic song, paying homage to the visionary leaders who drafted the Indian Constitution and laid the foundation for India’s Republic. This musical tribute reminded everyone of the sacrifices made for the nation’s freedom and set a poignant tone for the day.
The celebration also featured captivating dance performances that blended traditional Indian art forms with yoga-inspired movements, showcasing the significance of yoga in Indian culture and its global impact on wellness.
A standout highlight was the creative tribute to India’s recent accomplishments in science and sports. Students presented an inspiring portrayal of Gaganyaan, India’s ambitious manned space mission, celebrating the country’s advancements in space exploration. They also paid tribute to sporting legends like P.V. Sindhu,Neeraj Chopra, Gukesh D, Praggnanandhaa R, Vaishali Rameshbabu who have brought laurels to India in badminton, chess, kabaddi, and other disciplines.
Adding depth to the celebrations, a powerful role play brought freedom fighters such as Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, and Rani Lakshmi Bai to life. Through their dynamic performances, students reflected the courage and sacrifices of these heroes in India’s struggle for independence.
