On January 26th, 2025, our school came alive with the spirit of patriotism and unity as we celebrated India’s 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and pride. This year’s celebrations held extra significance, marking over seven decades of the day the Constitution of India came into effect, officially declaring the country a republic. The day was filled with vibrant cultural performances, inspiring speeches, and heartfelt tributes to the freedom fighters who made this historic day possible, creating an atmosphere of national pride and collective joy.
Sunbeam School Varuna celebrated its 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor today. The event took place on the school playground where the Vice-Chairperson Mrs. Bharti Madhok hoisted the national flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem.
The event was attended by dignitaries, school children and a group of students who came from the Mann School, New Delhi under AFS Exchange program.
The highlight of the celebrations was the Grand Parade showcasing India’s military strength, cultural diversity and technological advancements.
The disciplined march past by NCC, Scouts and Guides, Physical Education, SIV, Love House, Joy House and Hope House, Thai Boxing, Flute Band, College NCC, NSS, College Band, Staff, Support Staff and Bagpipe, received applause from the audience, Mrs. Amrita Burman, Director, Sunbeam Group of Institutions addressing the audience said that the young minds of India, she believes, will surely take the national flag to its new height.
After the cultural programs which included patriotic song by SIV students ‘Jago Mera Desh’ and group dance on Swarnim Bharat, a choreography by Sunbeam Women’s College, Varuna, Dr. Anupama Mishra, Principal Sunbeam Varuna proposed her vote of thanks to the august gathering.
