From the bustling corporate world to the serene hills of Shimla, my teaching career unfolded in the most unexpected of circumstances. While many may perceive a career shift from finance to education as unconventional, it was a transition that ultimately led me to discover my true calling.
My journey as an educator began during a vacation in Shimla, where my elder sister was employed. Armed with an MBA in finance and aspirations of a successful corporate career, I had little inkling that teaching would soon become my life’s passion. It was in Shimla that I found myself taking on the role of a Physics and Mathematics teacher, initially just to fill my time.
As I stood before my first class of eager students, something profound began to resonate within me. The satisfaction of imparting knowledge, the joy of seeing young minds grasp complex concepts, and the unmistakable sense of fulfillment that came with it were unlike anything I had experienced before. Teaching was no longer a temporary diversion but a calling I could not ignore.
Specializing in Mathematics, my mission as a teacher was clear—to combat the pervasive “Math Phobia” that often plagues students. Over the course of 17 years, I bore witness to numerous success stories. Students who once dreaded mathematics gradually came to appreciate and even love the subject. Many of them achieved the remarkable feat of scoring a perfect centum in their board examinations. These moments of transformation, where I played a pivotal role in reshaping their outlook on mathematics, were my greatest rewards.
The transition was cemented when I joined The Global Edge School, Kokapet, another opportunity to be immersed in the world of education. As a teacher and later as an Academic Coordinator, I had the privilege of touching the lives of hundreds of students. With each passing day, my connection with these young minds grew stronger. It was a reciprocal relationship that enriched my life beyond measure.
Throughout my journey, I also had the honor of receiving numerous awards and accolades. These recognitions served as a testament to the dedication and commitment I poured into my role as an educator. However, the true reward was not in the trophies or certificates but in the transformation, I witnessed in my students.
As I continue along this educational path, I remain dedicated to inspiring and transforming the lives of countless more students. My time at The Global Edge has been a testament to the fact that education creates a utopian world, where growth and mutual affection thrive, and where the impact we make on young minds is immeasurable.
