In a bid to provide quality education to the children of migrant workers, Peddapalli’s Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Ch Rupesh, has inaugurated Dhruva School at Begumpet village of Ramagiri Mandal in Peddapalli district, Telangana. Seeing the plight of the economically weaker section who are often unable to provide education to their children, DCP CH Rupesh along with his associates came up with the idea of setting up a school in the area.
A huge number of migrant workers and their families come to Telangana in search of work. It is important that we look after their welfare. We need to take adequate measures to stop children of migrant labourers from working as child labourers. Only by providing them with appropriate schooling and fulfilling their basic needs can we give them a normal childhood.
After taking charge of Peddapalli, DCP and IPS Officer Ch Rupesh saw that the kids of the brick kiln workers came to help their parents on the site. This is when he along with ACP Sarangapani and CI Pradeep Kumar brought thought forward and worked together with the migrant labourers and the owners of brick kilns to setup the school. The Telangana Policemen extended full support to the endeavour and what stands now is the fruit of their determination.
