On Tuesday, Samagra Shiksha organised a two-day awareness conference for the district-level Additional Project Coordinators (APCs) and sectoral officers. In the conference, School Education Director V. Vijay Rama Raju urged collective efforts to transform Andhra Pradesh’s education system into a national model. He stressed on teamwork as the key to strengthening the education system. The event highlighted the need for well-structured lesson plans and efficient fund utilisation to benefit students.
“Officials must use allocated funds wisely and on time, prioritising students’ futures. The State has no shortage of talented students, and with proper support, they can achieve outstanding success,” Mr. Rama Raju stated.
He announced that teachers’ seniority lists would be published in three phases. Promotions would be processed transparently online, addressing objections before finalisation.
State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha, B. Srinivasa Rao, stressed improving students’ learning outcomes from the foundational stage. He urged APCs to develop leadership skills and implement educational programs effectively.
Newly-appointed APCs received guidance on key initiatives, including Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs), Bhavita Centers, the Midday Meal Scheme, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyarthi Mitra, and self-defense programs for girls. Discussions covered district-level challenges and potential solutions.
Highlighting the one lakh girl students in KGBVs, Mr. Rao encouraged officials to support them like their own children, ensuring their health, safety, and quality education.
The event featured participation from SIEMAT Director V.N. Mastanayya, Samagra Shiksha Assistant State Project Directors M.R. Prasanna Kumar and K. Ravindranath Reddy, and KGBV Secretary D. Devananda Reddy.
