Andhra Pradesh plans to introduce IB curriculum in the state government schools. While addressing students who topped school and intermediate exams, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that the day of implementing the IB curriculum in government run schools is not far. “We need to do more in the educational sector like changing the examination system and introducing the IB syllabus at the school level to ensure that our students attain number one positions in their respective fields and become perfect global leaders,” he said.
The Chief Minister also emphasised that students should atleast complete graduation. He informed how the new reforms had reduced the dropout rate. The latest reforms aims to create well-skilled individuals equipped with balanced and matured thought who have knowledge of all emerging and future technologies such as artificial intelligence, data management, machine learning, Chat GPT and other subjects. During his speech, the CM stressed how government schools are setting themselves as ideal examples for private-run institutions.
