Jaishree Nawani has a vast and varied experience  in the field of education. Since the start of her teaching career in 1992, she has been employing new techniques and strategies of teaching and learning processes. A positive approach has helped her overcome every hurdle and imbibe a new learning experience.

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” said Nelson Mandela. N K Bagrodia Global School (NKBGS) had been encouraging students to showcase their innate qualities and capabilities since its inception in 2012.

K12 institutions across India have realised the urgent need to value hands-on, practical, project-based and personalised learning. Refreshing the school’s pedagogical model and aligning with the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 recommendations which focuses on competency-based learning is a major shift.

NKBGS features a unique, child-centered, art-integrated curriculum in which teachers and students honor all modes of expression and celebrate cultural diversity. During the pandemic, the institution had promoted ‘Blended Learning’ in which traditional lectures were combined with online tools, hands-on training and creative programs enhancing learner-engagement.

A proactive and systematized adoption of ICT was undertaken by increasing the number of LCD projectors and screens in classrooms, strengthening Wi-fi connectivity and utilizing Hybrid Classroom. In addition to existing resources, customized content has been created for learners using digital tools. The sessions on Artificial Intelligence have helped to customize learning to suit different learning styles. Experiential learning through outreach is blended in co- curricular engagement by guiding students towards heritage conservation, physical and mental health-awareness and environmental sustainability.

Teachers incorporated educational toys, simulation, role plays and storytelling activities into their classrooms to facilitate an immersive experience for students. Project-based learning took students a step beyond books and classrooms. Bagless Day observed on 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month encouraged learning beyond classrooms. Storytelling, quiz, calligraphy, virtual tours, dance, music, art integration, games & sports and many more such activities ensured that holistic development and learning are given importance. Happiness, Deshbhakti and Enterprise Mindset Curriculum are incorporated for well-rounded learning of the students. The students are given opportunities to compete in various zonal, intra and inter school competitions.

The Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) scheme is one of the programs executed by DST with the National Innovation Foundation. It’s a matter of immense pleasure to announce that Vasu Gupta of class IX A has proposed a marvelous idea for helping Autistic students under the guidance of Ms Shilpa Batra. It is a matter of pride that the idea has been selected for district level exhibition and awarded prize money of rupees 10,000 for further execution of the project.

Developing interdisciplinary curriculum with more divergent use of teaching resources has been adopted. Our motto has been “Anushasan, Shram, Atmabal”. We aim at the integral development of each student and lay a lot of impetus on honing every aspect of a child’s personality that works towards nurturing the child into a happy and well equipped human being.
