The Andhra Pradesh government has recently taken the initial step towards recruiting 16,347 government teachers with a recent issued order (GO), intending to finish recruitment by the end of 2024.

Upon taking office last Thursday, June 6, 2024, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu fulfilled a promise from his campaign by approving the recruitment of 16,347 government teachers as his first official act. Alongside this significant step, Naidu also greenlit several other projects in line with his electoral promises, including improvements to welfare pensions and other key initiatives.

Additionally, he disclosed that each beneficiary would receive Rs 7,000 as a welfare pension on July 1, 2024, which includes Rs 1,000 for each month from April to June, 2024, in addition to the increased Rs 4,000 pension amount.

Ramanaidu mentioned that the government intends to continue the volunteer system,  subject to regular review and improvements. He also stated that the government will release white papers by department to offer comprehensive details and transparency about its operations.
