“Every book is a children’s book if the kid can read!” – Mitch Hedberg
April 23 marks World Book Day or World Book & Copyright Day and every bookworm in the world is celebrating it by reading a book. Paying tribute to the works of artistic geniuses, playwrights, authors, poets, or comic book creators cannot be the only reason to celebrate this day. This day is also about the readers whose madness to read a book pushes the book and author to become a bestseller or prize-winning work.
Bertolt Brecht had rightly stated that “Hungry man, reach for the book: it is a weapon.” A good book is a weapon as knowledge is the only thing a that a person carries with him/her wherever they go.
