The Association for Reinventing School Education (ARISE), in partnership with FICCI, hosted a Masterclass on “Empowering School Education Through AI” during its 8th Annual Education Conference in New Delhi on 12–13 September 2025. The session was delivered by OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, and explored the transformative role of artificial intelligence in classrooms.
AI as a Teacher’s Ally
The demonstration showcased practical applications of AI in lesson planning, personalised learning, and student engagement. Emphasising AI’s role as a collaborator rather than a replacement, the session highlighted how educators could harness technology to enhance the teacher-learner relationship.
Strengthening India’s Educational Ecosystem
The Masterclass is part of ARISE and OpenAI’s ongoing collaboration to train educators and raise awareness of responsible AI integration. The initiative is designed to prepare schools for the future while preserving India’s diverse pedagogical traditions and ethical frameworks.
Leaders Speak on Transformation
Praveen Raju, President of ARISE’s Governing Board, said India’s schools stand “on the cusp of a major transformation” with AI tools already making classrooms more engaging. Raghav Gupta, Head of Education for OpenAI in India and Asia Pacific, stressed the importance of ARISE’s network in ensuring AI delivers genuine value to students and teachers. Vinesh Menon, Director General and CEO of ARISE, described OpenAI as “a true partner” capable of tailoring solutions for India’s unique educational needs.
