ASIA PACIFIC BRIDGE CHAMPIONSHIP 2019

A proud moment for the country as Team India – Ms Monica Jajoo and Mr Sumit Mukherjee secured the 2nd rank by WINNING A SILVER MEDAL in the open pairs event at the prestigious ASIA PACIFIC BRIDGE CHAMPIONSHIP 2019, held at Singapore from 11th – 20th June 2019.

Taking on a round of tough challenges in the final league, Ms Monica and Mr Sumit, pairing off with their arch-rivals, turned the tables to not only win the Silver Medal for the country but also slotted India on the list of potential Gold medal contenders for the forthcoming challenges.

It is worth noting that the duo under the aegis of Sports Authority of India represented the country and outplayed teams including Australia, Japan, New Zealand and more. 

A Champion, by all means, Ms Monica Jajoo is also the National Bowling Champion, a Gold Medallist in Golf at the Special Olympics, World Games, Los Angeles, 2015 and a Silver Medallist (Golf) at the Special Olympics, World Games, Abu Dhabi, 2019. Similarly, Mr Sumit Mukherjee is a top professional Bridge Player of India and an Asian Games Bronze Medallist.

Certainly, a proud moment for India and the Bridge Federation of India with these trump cards winning laurels for the country.
