FACTUAL RECOUNT ON INDEPENDENCE DAY
Independence day is the day when India attained independence from the British on 15th August 1947. Since independence Indians have celebrated this day as an auspicious occasion with joy and respect. It is moment of pride to every Indian. Similarly Silver Oaks International School also celebrates independence day every year. The school is decorated with tricolor balloons and flags.
This year, the wonderful ceremony started at 9am. Firstly, Director of the school Mr.Dhanunjaya unfurled the tricolor flag and the whole school sang the National Anthem. Secondly, the NCC cadets and the student government leaders performed a grand and glorious march parade. Then, the Oak street choir group sang a few patriotic songs with their melodious voices. Next 10th, 11th and 12th graders performed a few dances enthusiastically that further added beauty to the program. Later Director sir and students of the Senior wing delivered inspiring speeches about “ How would India be at 100 years of Independence”. Lastly, to conclude the event a vote of thanks was given by President Puthvi. It was a day of joy, love and respect for the country.
Finally everybody who came to the program left the school with a feeling of patriotism.
