A peek at my week went by
“All the feels!” This phrase would perfectly describe my week because my emotions were all over the place. There was happiness, joy, stress, excitement, discomfort, and, of course, tiredness. From family functions, football matches, speeches, and tests to math modelling, my week had been quite eventful.
Last weekend started with a mild disappointment. Alas! Brazil was knocked out of the World Cup. Later on Saturday night, we headed to my cousin’s engagement party. “Beep!” “Squeak!” We were caught in a traffic-clogged flyover on our way. We reached the venue late. But I had a great time meeting my cousins at the party, as we played a lot. After that, we indulged in yummy foods.
Then on Sunday, I slept a bit longer than usual to unwind. I just pottered around the house for a while. Next, I caught up on my favourite series at Disney and did a bit of cleaning on my bookshelf, which was a mess. As much as I wanted to relax during the weekend, my studies could not take a backseat.
On Monday, an unpredictable event happened as my school bus broke down on the way to school. My father had to drop me off at school, and I had to skip breakfast. I understood that some events in life are unforeseeable.
I was super hyped for the math modelling project. I submitted my model on Wednesday. The rest of the week rushed by as I worked on my home tasks and prepared for the weekly tests and speeches. Finally, an exhilarating moment happened, France made it to the World Cup Finals!
I learnt that everything could change in an instant. My week started on a tiring note but ended more sweetly. All in all, it had been an exciting week.
