Factual recount on the trip to Birla Planetarium
On the 30th of August, the acorns of grade 5 went on a field trip to Birla planetarium to enhance their knowledge on science big Ideas.
All the students came to school feeling excited to go to their first field trip in grade 5. They ate their breakfast before boarding the buses. It was a long journey to the planetarium but the students had fun talking and playing with each other.
After an hour-long journey they made it to the planetarium. First, the students were taken to the sky show. Everyone felt like they were in the sky and it was also very informative. It was very cold inside the theater. Next, they were taken to the interactive science exhibits where the students understood and gained knowledge on different science topics through interaction such as mixing colors, seeing wacky reflections of themselves and defying gravity!
Later, they were taken to the dinosaurium where they were shown prehistoric fossils, saw diagrams and pictures on evolution and habitats of dinosaurs and a complete skeleton of a sauropod!
Finally, they were taken to the archeological center where there were ancient artifacts including weapons, books, glass items and many more. After an exciting tour everyone boarded their buses, ate lunch and came back to school.
It was a fun and fascinating trip for the students and they gained a lot of knowledge too! It was a truly amazing experience!
