Opera Day programme (Factual Recount)
The Junior wing of Silver Oaks International School celebrated their Opera Day (show time) 2022 – 2023 with the theme “The Merchants of Happiness on 17th December. The show was solely conceptualized, designed, and executed by the teachers and students of Silver Oaks International School.
On this special day, all the parents of the students of the junior wing were invited. The school’s green meadow was decorated, and chairs were arranged for the parents and teachers on the fresh green lawn of the school. At sharp 5:30pm, first, principal Ms. Seetha Murthy, director Mr. Dhanunjay and wing head Ms. Shoba welcomed everyone and spoke a few words. Then the cultural programme began. Few students spoke about happiness and interacted with parents. After that, each section of grade 5 & 6 performed dances. The dance performance, dialogues, costumes, and stage decoration were liked by the parents.
The performers seamlessly flew to different countries to spread happiness to places like Ukraine and Afghanistan as it is in a war zone. The audience also flew along with the students. They witnessed the plight of people in some countries.
The breath-taking dramatic journey culminated with a finale dance done by the teachers. The spectacular event left the students and parents spellbound.
The show not only enchanted all but the message it gave motivated everyone to spread happiness, that is to export happiness where there is a need and import happiness if there is a need.
This is one of the ways Silver Oaks School builds character in every child.
