The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has begun the Class 12 (Intermediate) Annual Examinations 2026 from February 2, with extensive arrangements in place to ensure smooth and transparent conduct across the state.
As per official data, nearly 13.18 lakh students are appearing for the exams at 1,761 centres set up across Bihar. The board has implemented strict monitoring mechanisms to prevent any irregularities during the examination period.
Tight Security and Monitoring Measures
BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore has directed district administrations to take immediate action against any form of malpractice. To strengthen coordination, the board activated a 24-hour control room starting 6:00 am on February 1. Students and officials can reach the control room at 0612-2232227 or 0612-2232257. In addition, district-level WhatsApp groups have been created to ensure real-time communication.
Exam Schedule and Entry Guidelines
The examinations are being conducted in two shifts each day:
Morning session: 9:30 am
Afternoon session: 2:00 pm
Candidates must reach their centres well in advance, as entry gates close 30 minutes before the exam begins—9:00 am for the first shift and 1:30 pm for the second. Late arrivals will not be permitted to enter the examination hall.
Admit Cards and Student Instructions
Admit cards for the Intermediate exams are available on the official website intermediate.biharboardonline.com. However, students are required to collect their hall tickets through their respective schools.
Security checks are being conducted in two stages at all centres. Items such as mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, and other electronic gadgets are strictly banned. Students have been advised to adhere to all instructions to avoid disciplinary action.
