Key Changes in CBSE Board Exams 2025

CBSE has introduced several changes to the examination pattern this year to enhance students’ learning experiences:

  • Reduction in Short and Long Response Questions: The board has decreased the number of short and long-form questions to encourage analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Increased Internal Assessment Weightage: Internal assessments will now carry 40% weightage, while board exams will account for 60% of the total marks.
  • Mandatory Attendance Requirement: Students must maintain at least 75% attendance to be eligible for the exams, with exceptions for medical reasons, extracurricular participation, or other valid circumstances.
  • Enhanced Security Measures: CBSE has made it mandatory to install CCTV cameras in all examination halls to ensure fairness and transparency during the exams.

These measures aim to streamline the examination process and create a fair, secure, and student-friendly environment. Students are advised to download their admit cards at the earliest and stay updated with official notifications.
