The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has called upon all affiliated schools to participate in the ‘School Innovation Marathon,’ a nationwide initiative aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Launched by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), AICTE, this initiative aims to develop a culture of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students.

The ‘School Innovation Marathon’ is envisioned as India’s largest school innovation challenge, where students are encouraged to identify community problems and develop innovative solutions in the form of working prototypes. The top teams will receive funding support from the Ministry of Education, internship opportunities through the Student Innovator Program, and other recognitions. To ensure the success of this initiative, CBSE has requested all schools to actively participate and support the smooth implementation of the challenge. Registration details and additional information are provided in the official CBSE circular given HERE.
