CBSE collaborates with School Games Federation of India

by

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially partnered with the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) effective from July 8, 2024. This collaboration enables winners of the CBSE National Games to compete in the SGFI National School Games beginning in the 2024-25 academic year.

CBSE has also warned against an organization called the CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society (CBSE-WSO) in Agra, which falsely claims to be affiliated with CBSE for organizing sports events. Schools are advised to avoid any involvement with this entity, as it is not officially recognized by CBSE.

The Board stressed that schools ignoring this advisory might face disciplinary action. It urged them to verify any communications from such organizations through the official CBSE website: https://cbseit.in/cbse/2023/sports.
