CBSE Commences Post-Result Psychological Counselling

by Subeditor1

After the recent CBSE results announcement, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated its annual psychological counselling services from May 14, 2024. This free service helpline will operate 24/7 for a week, aiming to support students and parents in managing the psychological challenges often associated with exam results. This initiative marks the 26th year of CBSE’s commitment to mental health support through its two-phased counselling service.

This second phase of CBSE’s counselling efforts follows the first phase, which provided support before, during, and after the exams. Now in the second phase, round-the-clock tele-counselling service will be delivered by a diverse team of 65 professionals, including school principals, trained counsellors, special educators, and psychologists from both government and private CBSE-affiliated schools.

To ensure accessibility, CBSE has established a centralized toll-free number, 1800-11-8004, available to individuals across India. This helpline offers immediate access to support, information, and practical tips to help alleviate result-related anxiety or stress. Additionally, further resources and assistance can be accessed through the ‘Counselling’ link on the CBSE website given HERE.
