The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has notified affiliated schools that the first round of the Heritage India Quiz will be conducted on 17th November 2023, at 12:00 Noon. The first round of the quiz competition is an online quiz. The link for this online quiz will be available on the official website of CBSE – www.cbse.nic.in and www.cbseacademic.nic.in on the said date and time. The registered schools need to login through their LOC credentials, as done for the registration of school, for the quiz.
Duration allowed for the quiz will be 60 minutes including downloading of the question paper, reading of instructions, answering quiz and uploading the answers of the quiz. The Quiz portal will be closed immediately on completion of the test duration and no grace time will be given under any circumstances. Total number of questions in the quiz will be 60 and each question will carry 01 mark. There will be no negative marking. The merit list will be prepared zone wise based on the accuracy of the answers and the shortest duration of time taken for submitting the final answer sheet.
The theme for the CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2023 is: India – The mother of Democracy. The theme celebrates India’s presidency of the G20 and commemorates the democratic movement of India and the glorious history of its people, culture, and achievements. To strengthen the efforts to create awareness and a sense of pride among students about the vibrant history and culture of our country, the Inter-school quiz is expected to reach students across the country, thereby sensitizing them to the rich cultural diversity that is inherently Indian. Another worthy aim of the quiz in the present year is to raise awareness about India’s presidency of the G20.
After the conduct of Stage 1, online quiz, top 30 teams from every cluster will participate in the stage -2 cluster round. This will be conducted in the month of November-December 2023 at a venue selected in their respective cluster. The winning team of each cluster round will participate in the Semi-finals and Final at Delhi. The cluster round will be conducted in two phases at the venue selected (offline). The details for this round will be informed through the notification on the Board’s website www.cbseacademic.nic.in.
