CBSE To Hold Re-Exam For Class 12 Economics (April 25)

Education secretary Anil Swarup declared the re-examination dates for CBSE’s Class 12 Economics and Class 10 Maths and papers, which were cancelled after a leak.

Anil Swarup said the Class 10 mathematics re-exam is likely to be held in July if necessary. However, the maths exam could only be held in Delhi, the National Capital Region (NCR), and the state of Haryana as there is no evidence that it is an all India phenomenon.

At least, 5 lakh students are affected by the scrapping of the economics exam.

As per the probe data, police detained six students and a coaching centre owner in Jharkhand. Also, the police questioned another coaching centre owner, this time in Delhi.

There will, however, not be a retest for around 200 schools outside India.

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police, meanwhile, identified at least 10 WhatsApp groups, each having 50-60 members. The groups are suspected to be part of the paper leak.
