The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recognizes the stress that students and parents feel after board exams. To help alleviate result-related anxiety, they have introduced a free, week-long tele-counselling service. This service is available 24/7 until May 21st, 2024, and can be reached via a toll-free number provided on the CBSE website.
This annual programme, now in its 26th year, connects those in need with 65 professionals, including principals, counsellors, special educators, and psychologists. CBSE aims to offer tools to manage exam stress and handle results healthily, providing continuous support for both students and parents.
Aarul Malviya, Founder of Zamit, praises the CBSE’s initiative. He said that as students and parents navigate the often stressful period of exam results, it is commendable that CBSE Board’s part to take proactive steps to address result-related anxiety through free counselling services. At Zamit, we fully support this initiative as it aligns with our mission to foster a supportive and nurturing educational environment.
He also said that available for 24 hours a day until May 21, 2024, these counselling services offer crucial emotional support when stress levels can peak. They believe that mental well-being is as important as academic success, and CBSE’s initiative ensures that students and parents do not face this time period alone.
This initiative not only highlights CBSE’s emphasis on holistic student development but also reflects its responsiveness to the evolving needs of learners in the education landscape. By prioritising mental health support alongside academic excellence, CBSE sets a commendable precedent for educational institutions nationwide, fostering an environment where students feel empowered to navigate challenges with confidence and resilience.
