The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is taking steps to address the issue of fake social media accounts misusing its name and logo on X (formerly Twitter). In an effort to combat misinformation, CBSE has identified and released a list of almost 30 X handles falsely impersonating the Board. It emphasized that its sole official account on X is ‘@cbseindia29’. The Central Board of Secondary Education declared that they have observed certain handles on X (formerly Twitter), using the name and/or logo of CBSE, with the intention of misleading the general public.
CBSE has announced that necessary measures are being taken against these deceptive social media handles. In an official announcement, the Board advised the public to follow only the verified and authentic handle ‘@cbseindia29’ for accurate information concerning CBSE.
CBSE’s warning about fraudulent social media accounts determines the significance of being vigilant when using online platforms, particularly with the upcoming Class 10 and 12 board exams set to begin on February 1.
Furthermore, this year, the Board has made a noteworthy decision to refrain from assigning overall divisions, distinctions, or aggregates to students.
