CBSE Results 2025: Expected Date, Time, and How to Check Class 10 and 12 Scores

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the Class 10 and Class 12 board exam results for 2025 between May 11 and May 15. While the official announcement is still awaited, more than 44 lakh students in India and abroad are eagerly anticipating their scores.

Exam Overview

  • Class 10 exams concluded on March 18, 2025
  • Class 12 exams ended on April 4, 2025

Following past trends, CBSE typically declares results within 4 to 6 weeks after the last exam. This year, approximately 24.12 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 exams across 84 subjects, while 17.88 lakh students sat for the Class 12 exams covering 120 subjects—making it one of the largest academic assessments in India.

How to Check CBSE Result 2025 Online

  1. Visit the official CBSE website: cbse.gov.in
  2. Click on the “Results” tab on the homepage
  3. Select your exam category – Class 10 or Class 12
  4. Enter your roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth
  5. Click on “Submit” to view your result
  6. Download and save your scorecard for future reference

Accessing CBSE Results via DigiLocker

As part of the Digital India initiative, CBSE issues digital marksheets and certificates through DigiLocker, a government-authorized platform recognized by institutions across India.

Steps to access your CBSE marksheet:

  • Visit digilocker.gov.in or download the DigiLocker app
  • Sign in using your registered mobile number or Aadhaar-linked credentials
  • New users must verify their mobile number and set up a 6-digit PIN
  • Navigate to the ‘CBSE’ section or search for “CBSE Results 2025”
  • Enter your roll number, admit card ID, and date of birth
  • Your digital marksheet will be available for download anytime

Checking CBSE Results via IVRS

For students without internet access, CBSE provides an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) to check results via telephone. Students can follow voice prompts to hear their scores. Details about the IVRS numbers and applicable call charges will be announced by CBSE closer to the result date.
