CBSE to implement radical changes in examination pattern

by

The CBSE board has decided to implement some radical changes in the examination pattern. In the upcoming board examinations, the board will reduce the number of descriptive questions to make the assessment student-friendly. There will be more objective type questions to make it easier and less stressful for students.

The CBSE claims that the boards 2020 “would make the assessment student-friendly. Objective-type questions will also mean a detailed study and a lesser number of descriptive questions reduced for class 10 and 12 boards will give more time to students to think and write more creative answers without stress during the exams.”

Experts claim the initiatives should not be focused only on class 9-12 but a change in teaching learning-pedagogy is needed. Parents believe that the new pattern will be more scoring and fair. However, there are arguments about exams getting very easy which might make it harder for the students to accept challenges in real life.
