The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced updates to the curriculum and content for several skill-based subjects, starting in the 2024-25 academic year. According to the official notice, these revisions will affect subjects including Web Application for Class 11, Information Technology for Class 10, and Artificial Intelligence for Classes 9 and 11. Below is a brief overview of the syllabus changes for the subjects:
- Web Application (Class 11) – The course is designed to offer a thorough understanding of the subjects and provide learners with practical skills and knowledge in networking, website development, photo editing, and programming.
- Information Technology (Class 10) – Students will be introduced to essential concepts in digital documentation, spreadsheets, presentations, database management, and internet security.
- Artificial Intelligence (Classes 9 & 11) – This course focuses on developing employability and vocational skills by incorporating AI concepts with other academic subjects.
- Web Developer & Graphic Designer (Class 12) – Launching in the 2025-26 academic year, this course will encompass emerging technologies, programming, graphic design, and cybersecurity, providing students with practical skills and industry-relevant knowledge.
- Web Application (Class 12) – The Board has additionally stated that the curriculum for the Web Application Skill Subject for Class 12 will undergo revision and updates, effective from the 2025-26 academic year.
