In today’s technology-driven world, we find technology combined in every sphere of our life. In such a scenario, education doesn’t lag behind. If technology is enabling to improved teaching-learning practices and outcomes then, why not embrace it. If this is so, then, integration of technology into education becomes inevitable. This integration and leveraging of technology will lead to improved individual performances of students and teachers and the institution on the whole.
A significant advantage of leveraging technology in classrooms is that it gives access to enormous amounts of information and digital tools. This provides both learners and teachers an unlimited supply of information on a wide range of topics. All of these help in improving our academic pursuits. To leverage technology in classrooms and experience it fruits, students, teachers and other stakeholders need to be oriented in this direction first.
In this context, continuing its offering of online training sessions in alignment with NEP 2020 recommendations, CIET (Central Institute of Educational Technology) is organising a week-long, one-hour online training sessions on the topic “Leveraging Digital Technology for School and Teacher Education”. These sessions are being conducted this week from 7-11 August, 2023, from 4-5 pm.
