CISCE will cancel compartment exams for the upcoming boards

by Soumili Subeditor

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has decided to cancel compartment exams for the upcoming Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) class 10 and Indian School Certificate (ISC) Class 12 board exams. In accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, a re-evaluation process for answer scripts has been introduced by the board, supplementing the existing recheck of answer scripts post results declaration.

However, from the year 2024 onward, students have the opportunity to participate in CISCE improvement exams for a maximum of two subjects.

Candidates opting for re-evaluation are required to submit a fee of Rs 1,500 per subject. Importantly, the fee paid for the re-evaluation of answer scripts is non-refundable under any circumstances. Candidates should also be aware that the re-evaluation results for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) will be disclosed within three weeks on the official website of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations at cisce.org.
