Delhi Education Minister Atishi has announced that the AAP government will add 100 more seats for girls under the ‘Chief Minister’s Super Talented Students Coaching Scheme.’ This initiative offers free NEET and JEE coaching to students from city-run schools. During an interaction with beneficiaries, Atishi encouraged students in Delhi government schools to work diligently towards achieving their dreams. She assured them that the AAP government will ensure costly coaching fees do not stand in their way.
Each year, 300 students from class nine and class 11 in Delhi government schools are chosen to receive free JEE and NEET coaching at leading institutes.
To offer more opportunities for girls, it was announced that starting from the next session, 100 additional seats will be allocated for female students under the coaching scheme, the statement stated.
The students expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for offering this facility, stating that with the burden of expensive coaching fees lifted, they can now fully concentrate on preparing for medical and engineering entrance exams.
“The high coaching fees, amounting to lakhs of rupees, were a barrier to our dreams of becoming doctors and engineers, but this scheme has removed that hurdle,” a student said in the statement.
