Delhi Metro will give priority to CBSE students carrying admit cards during security checks and ticketing to ensure a smooth commute before board exams. CBSE will conduct the board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 from February 15 to April 4.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced several measures to help students reach their exam centers on time. Around 3.30 lakh students and thousands of school staff members will rely on the metro for transportation. In collaboration with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Delhi Metro will implement special facilitation measures at all stations to manage the increased rush on exam days.
“Students carrying CBSE admit cards will be given priority during security checks at metro stations and while purchasing tickets at Ticket Office Machines (TOM) and Customer Care (CC) centers,” DMRC stated in an official announcement.
DMRC officials visited schools, interacted with principals, and shared information regarding the nearest metro stations and available assistance for students. Schools must display posters with details of the nearest metro station and a QR code to enable quick and easy ticket booking. This initiative aims to help students plan their commute effectively.
Additionally, metro stations will make special centralised announcements which will guide students to reach their destinations without hassle. A detailed list of metro stations near examination centers is available on the DMRC website and mobile app for quick reference.
