Admissions for pre-primary and primary classes at Delhi Government Sarvodaya Vidyalayas have officially started for the 2025–26 academic session. The process began on April 9 and follows a first-come, first-served policy.
There are over 400 Sarvodaya schools across Delhi. Parents can view the complete list of schools at edudel.nic.in.
Admission Guidelines
- Class Capacity: Maximum 40 students per section in pre-primary and primary classes.
- Vacancy Rules:
- Seats of students currently absent will not be treated as vacant unless they are confirmed to have taken admission elsewhere.
- Seats of students missing since the last academic year or with confirmed admissions in other schools will be declared vacant.
- Transfer Priority: Children seeking transfer from another Sarvodaya Vidyalaya will be given preference.
- Transparency in Vacancies: Each school must clearly display vacancy details:
- At the main entrance
- Outside the principal’s office
- On helpdesks and notice boards
Who Can Apply?
- Children living within 1 km of the school are eligible.
- If there is no Sarvodaya school within 1 km, students residing up to 3 km away may apply.
