“Music is to the soul what words are to the mind.” Having understood this, Nawal Pathak, 24, Founder,
N Square Productions works towards developing music that people cherish forever. Here’s what you have to know about this young founder who is making strides across social media.
Q. People say, “You start to act once you have the right clarity.” So, how did you as an entrepreneur get complete clarity on what you wanted to create? Could you take us back to the particular moment?
I was a music enthusiast and an engineering student. I started learning music production online (on YouTube etc). I used to devote 18 hours a day, for learning. I was based out of Bhilai, Chhattisgarh where there were no means to learn this formally. I tried recording at a local studio based in Raipur but experience was not so great. That pushed me to learn music production in-depth.
Q. What were the specific set of challenges you saw in the music sector? How is N square Productions tackling them?
In all forms of art, the initial hustle an artist faces is to comply with the audience. The biggest challenge was to pick the right genre. At last, we decided to create that comes from our heart.
Q. If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Technology is ever updating, one shouldn’t invest too much time on learning software and tricks, rather spend time and energy on developing a philosophy that you firmly believe in.

Q. What’s the best complement you have received from your audience? Please, explain.
Once, I received a call from a listener who said that she was admitted in the hospital for long. Hearing our compositions gave her a sense of relaxation and helped her speedy recovery.
Q. How do you plan to sustain and manage your finances while producing a video?
One of the biggest challenges for an independent YouTuber is to manage finances while making sure product quality remains the same. In the beginning, it was managed by taking contribution from our friends. But slowly, I earned through commissions and I invested same money in videos.
Q. What are your expansion plans?
I want to reach a bigger audience now, release more songs frequently and get the Youtube platinum button one day. In addition to our online presence, I also want to open my own production house and studio one day. It is possible with constant support and immense love from all my listeners.
