Assam’s Education Minister, Ranoj Pegu has denied claims of a leaked paper in the HSLC board exams. Some online reports had stated that the English exam paper for the Class 10 Assam High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) board exams had been leaked.
Pegu declared that the authorities will respond appropriately to those responsible for spreading misinformation.
In an official post on X, Pegu announced that the allegations of a leaked HSLC examination question paper in Cachar District are fake. Authorities are currently investigating the source of this false information and will take legal measures accordingly.

According to the official timetable, the Assam HSLC theory exams are currently underway from February 16 to March 4, 2024. The first shift exams for the majority of papers will be held from 9 am to 12 pm, while a few paper exams are scheduled from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Specifically, the Assam HSLC exams for Bengali, Manipuri, and Santhali are set for Saturday, February 17.
The Education Minister of Assam through his official X account, announced that the HS Exam in the year 2024, will engage 2,80,216 students across 876 centers.
In the previous year, 3,01,880 students out of the total 4,15,324 who took the Class 10 exams successfully passed. This resulted in an overall pass percentage of 72.69 percent for the board.
