I am very happy to talk about one of the great personalities, Sir Abdul Kalam, a role model of the teaching profession who inspires students to achieve great heights in their lives. He is also known as “The missile man of India”. He played a major role in India’s Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998.
The first step in a teacher’s role is to create interest in the child to learn about the subject. This can be made possible by teachers through activity-based teaching. The teacher should frequently call the names of students in the class so the child feels happy that the teacher knows their name. Teachers should ask questions when teaching is going on and should appreciate the child when he or she gives the right answer. That will be a boost of energy for the students to proceed.
Education builds character in students and makes a significant impact on society. Students are the future citizens of India, so the teacher plays a major role in molding the children according to their capabilities, interests, and talents. Children should learn about the achievements and great struggles of prominent personalities who have made our lives more comfortable.
Education teaches morals, justice, ethics, and tolerance and enables a child to lead a successful and self-dependent life. Teachers can instill self-confidence in children by assigning tasks for them to complete. Children should understand the value of education and strive to achieve it for their progressive development in life.
The teacher is a second parent to the child, so he or she plays a central role in the student’s life. Teachers can impart moral stories and good manners to provide a child with a valuable life. Children should grasp the concepts of subjects with interest, concentration, and dedication. Teachers can make the child stress-free through their teaching methods and create a happy classroom.
In conclusion, the purpose of education is to instruct students on how to think and apply acquired knowledge creatively and productively.
