Fifteen-year-old Tanishka Sujit set to appear for BA final examinations

Fifteen-year-old Tanishka Sujit from Indore, Madhya Pradesh is set to appear for the Bachelor of Arts (BA) final year exams at the age of 15. She dreams to study law and become the country’s Chief Justice. The teenaged girl met Prime Minister Narendra Modi few days ago in Bhopal and she recalled how he encouraged her to pursue her dream. Tanishka is a student of Indore’s Devi Ahilya University and she will be appearing for her BA (Psychology) final year exams to be held from April 19-28, 2023.

Tanishka passed her Class X in first division, at the age of 13 and immediately she cleared her Class XII exams. Sujit was given admission in BA (Psychology) first year at the age of 13 after she performed well in the entrance test taken by the university for her as a special case. Sujit met PM Modi during his visit to state capital Bhopal on April 1 for the Combined Commanders’ Conference. The girl said during the meeting, which lasted for around 15 minutes, she told the PM that she wanted to study law in the US after clearing her BA exams and dreamt of becoming the Chief Justice of India someday. The Prime Minister advised Tanishka to go to the Supreme Court and observe the arguments of lawyers to keep her motivated towards her goal.

Tanishka had lost her father and grandfather during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. After losing family members, her mother Anubha was left clueless for two-three months. She then mustered her courage and overcame the grief for the sake of her daughter and her academics.
