These courses aim to promote innovation and diversity within the education culture
Ambedkar University, Delhi has decided to launch five new schools for science and social science subjects for the academic year (2023-24).
Postgraduate programs and undergraduate program will be offered by the university in streams such as public policy, indigenous knowledge and tribal studies, mathematics and data science, media studies, and philosophy and religion studies.
Incorporation of 21st century skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, digital literacy, entrepreneurship,, global awareness, and collaboration will be taken up as key areas in these courses offered by the university.
The university aims to enhance the student strength by 26000 in the future and as a part of this expansion project, these five schools are added to the university’s list of reputed departments.
Two new campuses of the university are under construction at Dheerpur and Rohini by the Delhi government. A review meeting was held between Education minister of the state and officials from higher education department, and AUD to discuss the development of new schools in the university.
The addition of new schools is a new step taken towards improving the education in India. It also helps students to develop themselves according to the rapidly changing industrial demands. The programs that are to be offered by the new schools are under consultation with experts of education. These courses will also help in narrowing the gap between academic research and practical applications.
These courses will also raise the benchmark of higher education in India as it promotes innovation and diversity throughout the education sector.
