Session 1 of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) happened in January with 20 students who secured a perfect 100 percentile. While talking about the upcoming JEE Mains Session 2 exam, the toppers shared their strategy and a few tips. Students stressed how NCERT helped them clear all the basics and helped them immensely in cracking the exam. Coaching classes also emphasized how NCERT was an important tool to cover the basics of any subject. Harshul Suthar, a resident of Ahmedabad who has secured a 100 percentile this year said, “I study till I can without counting hours. I first cover topics that interest me but not neglecting those I am weak in by clearing all my doubts. I started preparing from the NCERT curriculum for the JEE Main a month before the exam”. Maharashtra topper, Dnyanesh Shinde said that self studying using NCERT and a bit of guidance could lead to excellent results. He received coaching from Kota but believes it was during self study when he ultimately applied the guidance provided at classes that garnered him the result. All in all, the toppers stressed upon clearing up the basics from NCERT, getting proper guidance and spending more time in self-studying for cracking one of the most anticipated exams of the country.
