Free online ECE classes in 7 languages on YouTube, Facebook by ECA | #eceforallchildren

National Education Policy

Early Childhood Association is committed to ensuring #eceforallchildren during this pandemic. For the last few months many of our children are not having any access to ECE and this needs to be remedied  as the foundation of language, social and emotional learning happens in the first five years of life-commonly referred to as the brain development years. Our initiative of #eceforallchildren will be run free of cost on our Facebook and YouTube channels and will have sessions in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Kanada, Punjabi and Rajasthani. Twice a week for each group as given below-

  • Mon- Wed- for 3 to 4 year olds (1 hour sessions throughout the day in each language)
  • Tue- Fri- for 4 to 5 year olds (1 hour sessions throughout the day in each language)
  • Thus-Sat- for 5 to 6 year olds(1 hour sessions throughout the day in each language)

Children will enjoy an hour of rhymes, songs on various topics and stories that will help them understand feelings, hygiene, health, eating habits and more. All this will be conducted in the languages given above and we are reaching out to NGO’s that take care of Anganwadis and Balwadis so that they can reach out to the children in different states.

We will also have once a week sessions for teachers and parents on the following topics in Hindi-

  1. Music and movement
  2. Puppetry
  3. How to talk so kids can listen
  4. How to keep in touch with children and help them learn about health and hygiene
  5. How to make simple teaching aids.
  6. How to manage children’s behavior.
  7. Simple activities to play with children with everyday materials

We will help the teachers understand how to reach out to the children and stay connected. Many have asked us but what if parents don’t have access to phones or Facebook and YouTube and our reply is that when there are thousands of  fish are lying on the beach struggling to get back in the water, we have to try to save as many as we can and not just sit back and say we will not be able to save all!

With this vision we are initiating our movement #eceforallchildren from the 15th of July on Early Childhood Association Facebook page and YouTube channel.

We urge you all to support this vision and mission and ECA is also willing to donate handsets and dongles for families that truly require the same support.

Join us in our mission by ensuring that this movement becomes larger, come support us by spreading this message and ensuring that children around you get to enjoy the sessions in their language of choice with our initiative #eceforallchildren.

Let us help our littlest citizen get their right of education even during this pandemic.

If you want to join as a volunteer to help this initiative reach more children in your community, please write to us on ecapresidentindia@gmail.com
